Forest Fairy House Trail•Through–May 31
More than a dozen whimsical works line our trails – slow down as you search for the fairy houses made from tiny natural objects. You can even earn NEX points as you find them along the way, just pick up a scavenger hunt in NEX. Included with General Admission.
Artists in the Wild •Tuesdays in May
CNC partners up with the Roswell Fine Arts Alliance to present local painters creating en plein air art throughout our grounds. Come visit with the painters and observe them at work.
Sunset Sips•Thursday, May 25, 6:30–9:30 PM
Join us for evening hours at CNC with a side of sunset. Chill out with live local music, 127 acres of nature to enjoy and a cash bar. Feel free to bring your picnic to enjoy this music lovers treat, it is a laid back, family-friendly event. May’s performer is Heidi Pollyea, an Atlanta based singer/songwriter. She performs on piano, guitar and “a lil’ banjo.”
Birding Canoe Trip•Saturday, May 13, 7– 11 AM
Happy International Migratory Bird Day. Commune with our birding experts as they explore the hidden backwaters along the Chattahoochee River – a treat for birders of any skill-level. Some binoculars are available to borrow, but participants are encouraged to bring their own. Ages 14+; advanced registration required; $40 General Public/$30 Members.
Mother’s Day Paddle •Sunday, May 14, 1–4 PM
Celebrate Mom (and Grandma.) with an afternoon canoe trip for the whole family. Let’s paddle to the playgrounds at Riverside Park for a little R&R, but be careful – to beat the heat we’ll be distributing water squirters. Ages 6+; $30 General Public/$25 CNC Members; Register by May 11.
Memorial Day River Canoe Trip•Mon, May 29, 9AM–Noon :Take advantage of this day off with a relaxing trip on the Chattahoochee River. Join our naturalist for a morning paddle and we’ll get you back in time to prepare for any summer kick-off cookouts.
